  • BV Pink Port

    BV-PINK - DOC Douro - Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca & Tinta Barroca - 19.5% - 500ml bottle

    After high demand, a new style for the younger generation of port lovers is now on the UK market. Pink port is the newest creation of these wonderful Douro valley port producers & when chilled offers a lovely alternative for people looking for a fresher style of port.

    Tasting Notes: A young Port with a delicate pink hue; the perfect combination of aromas of fresh red fruit and floral notes. In the mouth, strawberries, blackberries and ripe cherries fill the senses; smooth texture and a pleasant finish.

    Suggestions: After a bottle has been opened it preserves for 6 months in the fridge. Advisable to drink slightly chilled by itself or you can also mix it for a summer cocktail with soda water or even sparkling wine & orange slices. Serving Temperature: Serve chilled (8C)

  • BV 10 Year White Port

    Since Marta Vine started in 2010 white port has had a strong presence in our portfolio & we have been searching for a 10 year old white port. After a lot of trial & error we discovered this gem from Barão de Vilar & we love it!

    The multilayered aromas of nuts, dried fruit, orange peel & caramel entice you into trying this delicious port that has real depth & wonderful length whilst maintaining a lively acidity & freshness. A wonderful port that we feel has a real place in the UK market.

    Serving Temperature: Serve Chilled (8C)

    Suggestions: Brilliant after dinner treat to clean the palate, alongside cheeses or with poached pears & other fruit based desserts.

    This superb old Tawny port patiently matured for 40 years in seasoned oak casks & the hand-picked grapes were thoroughly sorted to create an exceptional Port blend. This 40 Year Old is a remarkable tawny port blend that captivates the tasting through its powerful & complex nutty aromas in harmony with spicy notes, warm roasted coffee & cinnamon hints from the long contact with oak wood during the aging process. On the palate, an array of flavours flourish, mainly toasted nuts & chocolate. The 40 Year-old is an intense & complex port with a mellow & spicy after-taste.

    Serving Temperature: Serve room temperature.

    Suggestions: Perfect partner to almond pie, dark chocolate or with blue cheeses.

  • BV LBV 2017

    BV-LBV Cork - DOC Douro - Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional & Tinto Cão - 20% - 750ml bottle

    This superb Barão de Vilar LBV 2017 is a blend of full, rich & fruity wines of a single year which has been specially chosen for ageing from 4 to 6 years in oak casks prior to bottling. The grapes were foot trodden in granite lagars & stored in large oak vats called tonels. The special characteristics of this LBV are its richness, depth of flavour & powerful, attractive bouquet.

    This exceptional LBV has a deep black purple colour & vibrant ruby rim, reveals a fine & complex nose, especially the wild berries aromas combined with violet scents & small hint to eucalyptus leaf .On the palate, has a great vibrancy with ripe raspberry & blackberries flavours, black chocolate & black pepper combined with well integrated tannins & a velvety texture. It is a complex & multidimensional wine, with a deep long finish.

    In order to retain as much & depth as possible, the blend has been bottled in the same way as vintage port, without any stabilization. As a result, the port may throw a deposit.

    Serving Temperature: Serve room temperature.

    Suggestions: Amazing accompaniment to cakes filled with red or black fruit jams, tiramisú, cheeses, ice-cream or simply as a digestive.
